The afternoon will begin at Chiesa di San Giuseppe, followed by a procession from the town's main piazza to the reception at the Grand Hotel Timeo.
Children are welcome.
Dress code is black-tie optional.
The Nuptial Mass will be held at Chiesa di San Giuseppe. The Baroque 17th century church is in the Piazza IX Aprile, the town's main square and one of the best viewpoints in Taormina, with a panoramic terrace overlooking Mt. Etna and the bay below.
Please keep in mind that it is considered respectful to cover your shoulders while inside the church.
Procession
Il Corso Umberto
The ceremony will be followed by a procession down il Corso Umberto, Taormina's narrow pedestrian street.
The walk from the church to the hotel is about ten leisurely minutes on cobblestone streets but is mostly flat. The hotel is on the side of a hill, and the town is on a cliff overlooking the sea, so we recommend appropriate footwear.
Following the procession, whet your appetite with aperitivi, Sicilian canapes, and conversation on Timeo’s beautiful terrace overlooking the bay of Naxos and Etna.
Weather permitting, dinner will be served al fresco. More details to come, but it is Italy, after all, so you know it will be good! Following dinner and a traditional Sicilian dessert buffet, there will be music and dancing until midnight.
